The story of the Bertoldi family's winemakers begins in 1932 with the cultivation of fertile land on the morainic hills of Lake Garda. In the 1930s, Emilio founded the Bertoldi winery. Today the family tradition is carried on by the new generations. More than 40 hectares of vineyards are cultivated, managed with different forms of training: row and Veronese pergola depending on the microclimates and types of grapes. With the harvest, the fruits in their native varieties are carefully selected and collected. From their processing, wines are born that differ in their typicality. Our wine is subjected to a careful microbiological control to extend its life over time and to be able to appreciate its positive evolutions.

“Il Borro” extends over an area of 1,100 hectares surrounding a thousand-year-old medieval village in the heart of Tuscany. It is situated in the Upper Arno Valley, a wide basin between the Pratomagno massif and the Chianti hills. Today it is a cutting-edge farm, entirely organic and eco-sustainable since 2015. The pride of the estate are the 85 hectares of vineyards and the 29 of olive groves. In 1993 Ferruccio Ferragamo became the owner of Il Borro Estate. From that time on, major work was undertaken throughout the medieval hamlet which was completely restored for the purpose of enhancing its history. Il Borro vineyards are planted on the hills of the Val d’Arno, at the foot of Mount Pratomagno, between 350 and 500 meters above sea level. The mild winters and optimal exposure are combined with soil rich in sea fossils, dating back to the Pliocene era, a time when salted lakes covered the entire valley. Native vines, such as Sangiovese, in addition to other vines of the “Tuscan tradition” such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, coexist today, giving their best expressions.
Tuscan winery on the slopes of an ancient volcano.
In the wonderfull landscape of the hill of Palermo area, between lands caressed by the wind and warmed by the sicilian sun, stands Romano Winery, born from the entrepreneurial will of the family of the same nome.Since 1890, the year in which the acquisition of the first vineyards is attested, the company has been able to grasp the unparelleled aenological vocation of the territory, dedicating itself for generation, with passion and dedication, to the cultivation of vineyards and the trasformation of grapes into fine wines.
Romano winery proposes itself to the international quality wine market, in combination of over a hundred years of experiences and specialized agronomic knowledge, with the support of the high winemaking technology adopted in the recently built plant in Contrada Ramotta. From a production point of view the corporate restructuring of the vineyards was also carried out with the respect for quality: the number of plants per hectare was increased, but the number of budsper plant decreased, so as to furtherrefine the quality of the grapes.
We produce wines like Catarratto, Grillo, Chardonnay, Inzolia, Pinot Grigio, Viognier and Zibibbo Secco for white wines and Nero D'Avola, Syrah, Nerello Mascalese, Merlot, Frappato and Perricone for red wines. Our production also include Spumante Extra Dry , Frizzy white wine and Rosè Wine.
The passion for the cultivation of the vine and for the rural traditions, combined with the desire to actively contribute to the promotion of the land of the Tuscan Maremma, led in 2001 the Vanni’s family, Maremma Doc, to realize a dream: the San Felo estate with an area of about 70 hectares with 53 hectares of harmonious vineyards.
To stay tied to tradition, the company cultivates Sangiovese and Vermentino to produce both Morellino di Scansano DOCG and DOC Maremma Toscana.
However, being a young and innovative company, also international vines are cultivated such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Nero and Viognier obtaining the maximum expression of these products.
The goal is to produce a limited quantity of bottles characterized by high quality, assuring maximum satisfaction to those who buy the wines.
