Speri Viticoltori
Founded in 1874, Speri is located in the heart of the Valpolicella region in Veneto. Managed by the seventh-generation Speri family, the winery is one of the most representative producers of Amarone and Valpolicella wines. Speri exclusively uses grapes from its 60 hectares of vineyards in Valpolicella and oversees every stage of production, from the vineyard to the bottle. Since 2015, the entire production has been certified organic.
Speri is a historic winery that has been run by the same family for seven generations since its founding in 1874. Today, nine family members continue a 150-year tradition deeply rooted in the Valpolicella Classica region.
The winery cultivates 65 hectares of vineyards situated at altitudes between 120 and 350 meters above sea level in Valpolicella Classica. These vineyards are exclusively planted with native grape varieties such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara, ensuring wines that authentically express the unique characteristics of the region.
Speri produces approximately 450,000 bottles annually, using only grapes from its own vineyards to ensure full control over quality. The winery focuses exclusively on DOC and DOCG wines that embody the essence of Valpolicella’s rich terroir.
Since achieving organic certification in 2015, Speri has further demonstrated its commitment to environmental stewardship by obtaining Equalitas sustainability and Biodiversity Friend certifications. These accolades highlight the winery's dedication to biodiversity, sustainable farming, and reducing its environmental impact.
Speri wines are available in over 60 countries worldwide, primarily in the Ho.Re.Ca. sector, where they are celebrated for their classic elegance and exceptional quality.
Combining tradition with innovation, Speri has introduced groundbreaking techniques like the "Pergoletta Speri" vine training system to enhance grape quality. This approach reflects the winery’s unwavering connection to its historical roots and the Valpolicella terroir.
Speri has earned consistent acclaim from leading Italian and international wine guides. Its dedication to quality has cemented its reputation as a producer of refined and high-quality wines.
Remaining faithful to its roots, Speri focuses on producing five classic wines, all certified organic. The winery’s approach prioritizes stylistic integrity and consistency, emphasizing elegance and terroir as hallmarks of its production.
Speri’s timeless style ensures its wines remain distinct and enduringly representative of Valpolicella’s heritage.
