Situated in the historical Wiltshire countryside, Bluestone Vineyards is run by brothers Nathaniel and Toby McConnell on the family farm in Cholderton, near Salisbury.
Established in 2016, our 10-acre vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot noir, and Pinot meunier, destined for premium English sparkling wines made with heart, dedication and precision, both in the vineyard, and in the winery.
Bluestone focuses on crafting high-quality, vintage sparkling wines in limited quantities. Our production typically ranges from 20,000 to 25,000 bottles, featuring two core styles along with single vineyard and specialty wines in suitable vintages.
We strive to showcase the essence of English sparkling wines – fresh, fruit-forward wines with a bright acidity. Our wines are blended to meet three key criteria;
Delicious on release
Potential for aging
Excelling in food pairings
We like to emphasise the "Englishness" of our wines, which we feel is shown through the purity of fruit and a fresh & vibrant acidity structure. We enhance complexity and richness by blending a small portion of reserve wines and through extended lees aging, while our dosage programme is centred on maintaining this character.
Chapel Down is England’s leading wine producer with an award-winning range of sparkling and still wines. Based in Kent, in the heart of the Garden of England, we produce wines of the highest quality and which we believe offer the best expression of England.
Exton Park is one of the leading English Sparkling Wine producers; with an estate that sits in the rolling chalk hills of Hampshire, England.
We hand-harvest grapes from our 60 acre (24 hectare) single vineyard, pressing plot-by-plot before storing in our 13-year library of reserve wines. Our winemaker, Corinne Seely, selects from across this archive, creating our unique range of Reserve Blends.
From time to time, we also produce Limited Release wines, such as our Exton Park Pinot Meunier Rosé Vintage 2014 or the Exton Park 'BBB' Cuvee M. Isaac Blanc de Blancs 2015.
Gusbourne is one of the UK's leading English wine producers, making award-winning Traditional Method sparkling wines from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier grapes grown on it's sustainably-certified 93 hectares of vineyards in Kent and West Sussex.
We only make Vintage wines, and age them on lees for significantly longer than the industry norm (on average 4 years for our core range, longer for our prestige cuvee).
Gusbourne is distributed in over 35 countries around the world, and is the only English wine producer to hold the King's Award for Excellence in International Trade.
Owned by Boutinot Wines, Henners is one member of a family of wineries with roots across the world. We draw inspiration from our sister vineyards in France, Italy, South Africa and New Zealand while celebrating the 'Englishness' that makes our wines special.
Established in the early 2000’s, our winery can be found in the picturesque village of Herstmonceux, East Sussex on the south coast of England. Only 5 miles from the English Channel, our vineyard thrives on a strong coastal influence, with sea breezes that bring a crisp salinity and personality to our wines.
We have continued to evolve and expand, increasing our winery size in the last few years and introducing new wines and grape varieties to our line up. We work with a network of vineyard growers across the South East of England to source the finest fruit bringing together a mix of terroirs and climates which allow us to produce excellent wines year after year. As is normally the way, a French winemaker described this approach most romantically – “If you are playing the piano and only have three keys, you limit the tune you can play. By adding more keys, the greater the options and the more beautiful the tune you have available”… Our partners and their vineyards are the extra keys and are vital to the tune we play.
Our mission now and for the future is to continue to create remarkable wines for those special moments you will cherish for ever. We don’t want the wines to ‘be the occasion’, we just want to be part of it. Cheers to the memories!
We are wine-growers. We specialise in making traditional method sparkling wines from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes grown on our 34 hectare vineyard on Crawthorne Farm, north-east of Dorchester in rural Dorset.
We are proudly based in the west of England, making some of the region’s most celebrated wines. Compared to most sparkling wine producers, we take a minimal intervention, more oxidative approach to our winemaking, looking towards producers in the ‘Grower’ (Récoltant Manipulant) movement for inspiration.
Our vineyard sits on the same porous, ‘belemnitic’ chalk as found in the Côte des Blancs, the hallowed white hills which produce some of the world’s greatest sparkling wines. Our winemaking style seeks to transparently and honestly represent this grand terroir.
Justin Langham planted the first blocks of the vineyard in 2009, in part inspired by his father John’s hobby vineyard at the manor house in nearby Bingham’s Melcombe. Small additions followed in 2011 and 2018, then in 2022 a further 18 hectares were planted, including ‘John’s Vineyard’, and ‘Betty’s Vineyard’, after Justin’s parents. The final 4 hectares were planted in 2024.
Leonardslee Family Vineyards
Leonardslee Family Vineyards produces estate-grown English sparkling wines from 38 acres in West Sussex's historic Leonardslee estate. Our vineyards thrive on chalk-rich soils similar to those found in Champagne, benefiting from south-facing slopes and the South Downs microclimate.
Award-Winning Excellence
Named one of the World's Top 100 Vineyards in 2025, Leonardslee creates traditional method sparkling wines exclusively from our estate fruit: Chardonnay (60%), Pinot Noir (30%), and Pinot Meunier (10%). Our maiden 2020 and 2021 vintages express the distinctive character of West Sussex terroir.
A Family Legacy of Cool-Climate Winemaking
The Streeter family's winemaking heritage spans two continents and two distinguished cool-climate regions. Whilst Leonardslee represents our English expression, the family also owns Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate in South Africa's Walker Bay - another premium cool-climate region renowned for elegant wines. This dual perspective informs our approach to viticulture and winemaking, drawing on generations of experience in producing wines that express the unique character of maritime-influenced terroirs.
The swallow on our label represents owner Penny Streeter OBE's journey between South Africa and England, symbolising our transatlantic winemaking heritage. The four smaller swallows represent Penny's children - this remains a true family venture connecting two great cool climate wine regions.
Sustainability & Heritage
Since acquiring the Grade I listed Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens in 2016, the Streeter family has restored this 240-acre estate through Europe's largest recent garden renovation. We apply the same regenerative principles practised across our estates to our winemaking.
Our winemaking team brings international expertise: Barry Anderson, MD, oversees viticulture, whilst Cellarmaster Johann Fourie and Winemaker Michelle Waldeck produce wines that honour both Sussex's emerging reputation and our family's commitment to excellence across continents.
