Maple syrup is one of Québec’s most emblematic products. Drawn from the sap of the sugar maple, this exceptional nectar is transformed here into alcohol with respect for craftsmanship and tradition, giving rise to a spirit of true character.
At Distillerie Mitis, our Acerum is crafted from the fermentation of carefully selected local maple syrup. It is then precisely distilled and aged in our cellar in new oak barrels, imparting roundness, structure, and aromatic depth.
Our Acerum strictly complies with the specifications of the Québec Acerum PGI (Protected Geographical Indication). It can be enjoyed neat, on ice, or in cocktails, notably in a reimagined Old Fashioned or a Boulevardier.
Nose: Clean, buttery maple syrup with notes of ginger, green leaf, vanilla, and oak.
Palate: Spice and minerality on the attack, leading to a juicy, fruity finish. Rich, creamy texture with hints of almond, butter, and vanilla.
