Lifted and giving on the nose with a rich stone fruit core. White peach, ripe apricots & red plum, a lactic, sweet tartness and burnt sugar; like a Basque cheesecake with poached rhubarb. Hints of watercress, spearmint & graphite keep things fresh. The palate is framed by bright blood orange acidity. Intensity and fruit ripeness fill the mouth, with rhubarb & buttermilk before a note of flamed orange oil gives fragrant balance on the finish.

Langham Wine Estate specialises in making traditional method sparkling wines from grapes grown on our 34 hectare vineyard in rural Dorset. The sheltered, south-facing vineyard sits on deep Cretaceous chalk, assisting drainage and sustaining the vines during dry spells. Our winemaking style is oxidative and low-intervention. Base wines ferment spontaneously with wild yeasts in used oak barrels and stainless steel tanks before full malolactic fermentation, with regular batonage. Our wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal additions of sulphur dioxide and very low levels of dosage.
